Membership Benefits

What’s included with the DAA Membership

Networking Opportunities

Being part of the DAA provides a platform for networking with other local businesses and individuals in the community. This can lead to valuable connections and collaborations, potentially generating referrals, leads, or new customers.

Involvement in Town Development

As the DAA Board members actively participate in Community Economic Development Meetings, all businesses can stay informed about town developments, infrastructure projects, and other factors that may impact the local market.

Connection with the Community

Actively participating in the association demonstrates a business’s commitment to the community's well-being. This can foster a positive image and trust among potential customers who appreciate businesses involved in local initiatives.

Education Opportunities

Being part of the DAA provides the opportunity to participate in group education sessions with other local businesses at reduced rates, whether to advance your career and/or provide a sense of well-being in the community (inclusive, safe, etc.), or for fun.

Visibility and Exposure

Participation in live events such as street markets, in addition to online efforts, allows businesses to showcase their products and/or services and build brand awareness. Increased visibility within the community can lead to more inquiries from potential customers.

Access to Tourism Signage

The association coordinates and finances signage on HWY 417 directing people to historic downtown Almonte. This exposure benefits businesses by increasing the visibility of the town for tourists and day-trippers coming in from larger nearby cities.

Access to Communications Platform

The private Facebook group facilitates quick communication among members. Businesses can use this platform to stay informed about local events, share information about their initiatives, and collaborate with other businesses.

Content Creation Opportunities

In addition to volunteer contributions from existing members, the DAA hires help to manage + maintain the online platforms (email, website, social media, etc.) and to create content for marketing special events, funded by the annual DAA Membership Fees.

Collaboration on Marketing Initiatives

The Marketing Coordinator employed by the DAA can assist buisnesses in promoting their products and/or services as well as thier community-related initiatives. This collaboration enhances the overall marketing efforts and presents a unified front for the town.

Group Advertising Opportunities

Periodic print advertisements in local publications, funded by DAA Membership fees, provide an opportunity for businesses to participate in collective advertising initiatives during strategic times, such as holidays, seasonal events, or during slower months.

Website Sponsorship Opportunities

Explore the chance to showcase your business on this website dedicated to the Businesses of Almonte. This platform offers a valuable online presence, opening up new avenues for promotion and connecting with potential customers beyond social media.
